You are working as a Product Manager in an International Money Transfer Aggregator company can MoneyTmp. The company caters primarily to B2B.


MoneyTmp product where 3rd parties can Collect & Send payments easily, from anywhere in the world. It can transfer payments in 70+ major currencies. MoneyTmp has a combination of features of BillDesk & WesternUnion.


Here is problem statement you are trying to solve for this company:

The communication between senders and receivers is not clear after sending the funds and causes confusion for both in terms of where and why the funds are blocked or what are next steps to proceed.


Points to note:

  • When sender sends funds

    • They need to submit some documents

    • Currency value needs to fixed during the send

  • When receiver needs to collect it

    • They need to submit some documents

  • Sending and Receiver should communicate through platform to manage funds

  • Status management - sender & receiver will be different

  • Every status has conditional next status


Here what you need to do:

  • Create mocks of how the sender and receiver will perform above actions & what would be the ideal status flow

  • Prepare the requirement document (PRD)

  • Create tickets and plan the sprint for the engineering team
